The masters golf tournament
Seven pro golfers are tied for the best pot on the leaderboard for the 2008 Masters Golf Tournament on Wednesday, hitting two under par.
The Masters, one of the PGA’s four major competitions, suffered delays due to the bad weather at Augusta National Golf Club on Wednesday.
Ian Poulter is the only one of the seven that completed an entire round of only 18 holes. Robert Karlsson, Zach Johnson and Justin Rose are on their back nine, while Stephen Ames, Sandy Lyle and Soren Hansen are still on their front nine.
Johnson is the reigning champion after winning the Masters in 2007.
Tiger Woods, the four times Masters champion, is even par after 10 holes, tying him for 18th place. Phil Mickelson, the only other multiple winner in the field (twice), is tied at eighth place.
The 2008 Masters television coverage is airing live on the ESPN channel. The coverage can also be seen live on the Masters website, located at www.masters.org, under the function entitled “Amen Corner”.

We can’t blame the golf club manufacturers for targeting their most profitable market of right-handed golfers, but it is quite difficult for those golfers who play left handed to find the selection offered to the mainstream players.

What about the “greats” such as Arnold Palmer? I was privileged to paint a imagage of him at the 1957 British Open – which he signed. I still have prints available.

I’m still trying to figure out how Cabrera won the 2009 version. I watched all 4 rounds and I still don’t get it.
