Online registrations for ten-kilometer race in Cape Elizabeth gets under way Saturday morning at

The Beach to Beacon race will begin near the Crescent Beach entrance on Route 77 in Cape Elizabeth, winds past breathtaking ocean vistas, and ends at the historic Portland Head Light at Williams Park.

Race draws a field of more than 5000 runners from the region and the world to the small coastal community in Maine. As more than 10000 spectators line the course to cheer the runners, and more than 800 volunteers who will help and ensure a smooth operation

$50000 in prize money is awarded to the top finishers (Those who win)  and place winners in the various categories for men and also women.
