The Battle Hymn was sung this morning.
The Pope, who is celebrating his 81st birthday today, gave a few of his own remarks in turn, before he was being serenaded with a rousing rendition of “Battle Hymn of the Republic”, as performed by a U.S. military choir
And the choir slowed the final verse for emphasis:
In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea,
With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me:
As He died to make men holy, let us die to make men free,
While God is marching on.
The battle hymn of the republic was really just amazing and beautifulIf you liked this post please buy me a cup of coffee to quench my thirst
