Sweet thought.

I like how it shows the pattern for the first layer, then BOOM here’s all the layers to gether for you to figure out.
Plus, I hate douches that beg for thumbs-up. Seriously – if we’re stumbling, we know what to do – and you begging for something aint’ going to change the outcome, tool.

om nom nom 20 POINTS!
March 7th, 2010 at 7:45 pm
Dude, if you can’t figure out the pattern of an 8-bit computer alien all by yourself, you probably can’t make cookies, either, so quitcher bitchin.

@ Jabroney
Well perhaps if you shut your mouth long enough to realize how stupid you sound, you would not have had that problem..
Now.. look again at the photos.. This time with eyes open and mouth shut..
You will see theres about 5 photos that show the cross section of these things that would enable any person with a brain to be able to reproduce them fully.
Seriously.. Your the douche..
March 8th, 2010 at 4:02 am
So cool!!
…Did you use a playdoh press at the beginning?
March 9th, 2010 at 4:46 pm
@jabroney
That’s you! That’s how dumb you sound! You’ve been wrong about every single thing you’ve ever done, including this thing. You’re not smart. You’re not a scientist. You’re not a doctor. You’re not even a full-time employee! Where did your life go so wrong?
March 11th, 2010 at 7:06 am
Oh Glorious Fun Factory, though hast opened the door to all manner of 8-bit confections.
March 11th, 2010 at 8:50 am
wow. just wow. haha
March 13th, 2010 at 10:12 pm
Second on the begging of the ‘thumbs up’…I never thumb up a site that begs for it. We are stumblers…we know what to do.
March 13th, 2010 at 10:32 pm
The eighth picture down will haunt my dreams forever
March 22nd, 2010 at 11:28 am
Whatever.. these cookies are ‘shopped.. look at those huge pixels.
March 25th, 2010 at 10:12 am
Had to give a thumbs up to counteract all the comment douchebaggery. Oh noes, my impartiality as a stumbler is being questioned because he asks for a thumbs up!
March 27th, 2010 at 5:32 pm
That is the most creative thing I’ve seen is I don’t know how long! Plus, you have combined the fun factory, and coooooooookeeeeeeeesssss!

The pictures are really cute, but this is not a very good ‘how-to.’ Some cookie dough recipes spread more than others. What kind of dough did you use? What’s the recipe? As for the design of the space invader himself, it would be nice to have an explicit grid design. Most people could probably figure it out on their own, but a good ‘how to’ would have an explicit diagram of every step. Anyone who can go to the trouble of asking for a ‘thumbs-up’ AND money could probably also spend a few minutes to draw a shaded grid.

Really… this page should be called “The day I made space invaders cookies” instead of calling it a how-to. It’s a clever idea, and it worked pretty well… but it doesn’t have a recipe or a diagram on how to layer the fun-factory noodles into the proper configuration. You’d have spared yourself all of the above venom if you’d done those 2 things… maybe redesign this into a how-to and you’ve got something that’s thumb-worthy. Good Luck.

Virgins!

This was awesome. I would really like to try it sometime although space invaders aren’t really my thing it would be cool to make new designs. you should post the grids for a bunch of different designs that would be cool. I gave you a thumbs up. Nothing wrong with asking.

Begging for a thumbs up?
THUMBS DOWN! HAVE THAT!
June 29th, 2010 at 10:33 pm
Thumbs up. (because you know, being a stumbler is serious business)
June 29th, 2010 at 11:08 pm
As far as spreading goes, chilling the dough can help a great deal. I would imagine chilling the dough after every step for ten minutes, or so, would make the process a lot less frustrating. For a recipe, you would probably want to go with a basic sugar cookie dough or a vanilla shortbread. These cookies look similar in technique to checkerboard cookies, so knowing a bit about those might help.
Just don’t attempt this if you can’t bake.

@ravious
By the way, it’s “YOU’RE the douche” not “YOUR”
July 2nd, 2010 at 3:08 am
If you can not figure out what to use for cookie dough or how to lay it out, don’t try it. Go get an adult to assist you.

This is another excuse to consume more refined sugar.

that is friggen balls to the wall awesome bro good looks
July 4th, 2010 at 11:20 am
IMO; everyone who complains about minor details like the whole “he asks for a thumbs up” and “the title is wrong” should go and be somewhere else, now ask yourself, “is this totally awesome and do i now want cookies/cookiedough?”
If you need some help go google cookie recipe and add some cacao to make them black if you dont have any food colorings… PROBLEM SOLVED (and the solution is delicious:P)
Thumbs up for life
ADDENDUM: I’m well aware that this is probably going to get flak after i hit stumble again because of the rant at the start of this post but just remembers everyone who does that can rest assured that i will never read it and probably just likes to rant for ranting’s sake… Don’t be an ass and go eat a cookie!

This looks like it would be really tedious to make, but the result would be a LOT of fun.
August 7th, 2010 at 3:09 pm
OK. It’s a good idea and shit, but it really doesn’t explain much, seeing as it only uses pictures and no words. Firstly, it doesn’t show how to make the mixture, and secondly, how on Earth am I to get that cutting thing? There’s no way I want to look for Playdoh cutters anytime soon.
Also, I think the white bits should be black. And whats up with that picture of that guy holding the cleanly cut part? (8th picture.)
What a frustrating fucking hand.
August 8th, 2010 at 2:44 pm
I think this is pretty neat. It made me want to make cookies for sure >>
August 10th, 2010 at 4:45 pm
Seriously, you guys are all d bags.
Anyone who’s made cookies, more complex than Tollhouse chocolate chip cookies, can see all that is needed to make these. Ever hear of a cookbook… or ::gasp:: GOOGLE!?! Google a recipe!
Hello, you can see the person clearly used a sugar cookie mix, and refrigerated them BEFORE he put them thru the Fun Factory.
How hard is it to count??? Seriously. Yea, they show you the first step, than bam, halfway thru, and then bam, almost done… Is it too difficult to look at the picture and see the bottom, and count each line… or I am sorry, is there not enough fingers and toes for you to not lose track?
As for the “begging” of a thumbs up, get real. Who gives a flying frak if they ask for a thumbs up… It’s an awesome page, I’ll gladly give my thumbs up, as I give the rest of you a middle finger.
August 19th, 2010 at 3:01 am
Yeah, what the nuts? Why do you all think you are so important because you’re a STUMBLER! YOURE THE KING OF THE INTERNET! YOURE TOO DAMN HIP TO GIVE SOMEONE THUMBS WHEN THEY ASK!
